VOLUNTEER WITH US
Your support is important to ALMA Science Academy de UCLA. There are many opportunities available for our volunteers to develop personal and professional growth. ALMA de UCLA provides volunteers with public speaking skills, mentorship skills, exposure to medicine, research opportunities, community advocacy, and leadership skills. ALMA mentors are passionate UCLA and UCI undergraduate students as well as alumni who are committed towards fostering long-lasting and meaningful relationships with our young scholars. Most of our volunteers are able to relate to our community recipients and the community we serve as a whole. This allows our scholars to see themselves in our mentors and inspire them to achieve higher education
LEADERSHIP
With our organization, we hope to grant our volunteers with leadership opportunities by allowing our volunteers to participate in our leadership team, engage with our curriculum planning, and present at our Science Academy.
MENTORSHIP
At ALMA Science Academy de UCLA, we are dedicated to fostering an environment of mentorship among our scholars and our volunteers.
RESEARCH
Volunteers will be allowed to participate in our research section of our project. Through acquiring data about Science Academy, we are able to submit research presentations and pursue our mission of exposing kids to early STEM education.
